|Weather : The climate of the Ukraine can be described as dry and continental influenced climate with warm, dry summers and fairly severe winters. In summer daytime temperatures reach 25-30°C. January is the coldest month with daytime temperatures usually around 0°C.|
The Zaporizhzhia State Medical University (ZSMU) is a privately-funded institution of higher education in Ukraine. The history of the institution dates back to 1903 when the Pedagogic Courses were organized for women in the port city of Odessa. In the year 1921, these courses were reorganized and the Chemical-Pharmaceutical Institute came into being. The institution was renamed as the State Pharmaceutical Institute in 1935 followed by another name change when ZSMU relocated to its present-day site in 1959. In 1964, the institution added the medical faculty to its curriculum and was renamed in 1968. It was in 1994 that it received the status of a university under its current name. The university has accreditation from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
It is one of the oldest & best medical higher educational institutions in Ukraine. For more than 40 years, it has gained authority and recognition by training foreign citizens from Europe, Latin America, USA, Canada, Asia, and Africa. More than 3500 specialists have got medical and pharmaceutical education and are working now in more than 100 countries of the world, taking up high positions in the public health systems of their countries.
ZSMU is one of the most established advanced medical education organizations of Ukraine with the best level of accreditation among the medical universities in Ukraine. ZSMU began in the year 1903 for the Women Courses composed in Odessa. Later in 1959, the college was exchanged from Odessa to Zaporozhye and was renamed to Zaporozhye Pharmaceutical Institute. At that point following ten years in 1969 the name was changed to Zaporozhye Medical Institute. Lastly the organization got the status of Zaporozhye State Medical University in the year 1994.
Admission & Eligibility
- Program : International Integral Md Program, English medium
- Medium : The medium of instruction is English.
- Duration: 5 years studies and 1year internship. Internship done in the home country.
- Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as major subjects.Admission will be based on credentials and Admission test/ interview.
- MCI Eligibility:Eligibility certificate to pursue Primary Medical Qualification (MBBS or its equivalent) by an Indian citizen/overseas citizen of India is mandatory in terms of section 13(4B) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
